Grading and Rules
Your grade will be based on your performance in 3 areas:
1) the homework sets (40%)
2) the midterm (25%)
3) the final exam (35%)
 

Homework will be assigned one week before the deadline, and will be collected in class.

Late homework will not be accepted, except in case of severe hardship.

The midterm will be on Wednesday February 7th, in Class.

The final exam will be on Tuesday March 20th, 8-11am.

Both midterm and final will be open-book exams.

01/10/07:
No class on Monday 1/15 due to a UC holiday; however, the first homework assignment on Chapters 1 & 2 will still be due on Wed. 1/17.
